Steve Hanna is a clinician, trained in multiple models of intervention and therapy. This equips Steve with the flexibility to customize his approach choosing the model that best suites his clients’ needs.
As a seasoned interventionist, clinician, presenter, and program developer with over 25 years of post-master’s practice, his career has focused on helping individuals and families who are affected by substance use and mental health issues.
How Intervention Works
The intervention process starts with a free consultation. The goal of the consultation is to gather a brief history, determine if an intervention is the best approach and decide which model of intervention is best for your individual situation. Once intervention is determined to be the best approach, Steve provides you with professional guidance throughout the entire process. If intervention is not the best course of action, Steve will help you decide on another option.
As the facilitator of the intervention, Steve:
- Works with you to identify the best members for the intervention team.
- Helps you select a treatment program that meets both the clinical and financial needs.
- Guides the team and facilitates the rehearsal and intervention meetings.
- Accompanies your loved one to the facility and serves as a liaison between the family and the treatment center staff.
- Provides four 30 minute follow-up sessions to support the family during treatment and at time of discharge.
In addition to interventions, Steve offers these services to families and individuals affected by substance use, mental health, and behavioral disorders.
Steve is available to present workshops or speak to your group about Substance Use, Mental Health and Mindfulness practices. He also offers ©Recovery on the Fly.
“I was desperate in March of 2014 to find help for my 29 year old son who’d been drinking for years. He said he didn’t want help, but eventually started calling family members asking for permission to end his life. We decided to do an intervention and contacted Steve. With his professional and personal guidance, my son willingly entered and completed treatment. I am happy to report that with Steve’s amazing help and God’s amazing grace my son has been sober for 3.5 years. We will always grateful to Steve for his immense passion for helping our family.”
Forever Grateful in AZ, Client
“Steve is the best trained, most experienced, hardest working, and genuinely finest substance abuse professional I have ever known. He is most deservedly renowned for his work and his programming. Further, it was a pleasure to work with him in an office.”
